Dr Maulin Joshi MSc, BDS

Maulin qualified 2001 at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospital.

His main interests lie in restorative, cosmetic dentistry and craniofacial pain (treatment of head, neck and shoulder pain which may be dentally related). He is a member of The British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and The British Society of Occlusal Studies.

Maulin keeps abreast of the latest advances in dentistry through continuing education programmes which far exceed the requirements of The General Dental Council. He recently completed his MSc in Restorative Cosmetic Surgery – the first MSc of its kind in the UK.

He is known for his gentle, relaxed and informal approach and ensures that all patients get the same excellent care.

Dr Joshi was shortlisted in the Dentistry Awards 2009 in the category of Best Young Dentist, London. He was also shortlisted for the Smile Awards 2010 for two categories; Restorative Smile and Patient Smile.

Dr Krishna Katira BDS (University of Sheffield)

Krishna qualified in 2001 from University of Sheffield with a BDS and is an active member of the British Dental Association and the General Dental Council.

Through her experiences in both hospital and general practice environments, Krishna has amassed a great deal of general knowledge and practical expertise in the functional and cosmetic applications of Restorative Dentistry.

In 2006, Krishna was selected for the Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry Programme directed by Dr Chris Orr, Former President of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Following this, in 2008, she learnt to ‘Perfect the Art and Science of Smile Design' with Dr Rahul Doshi and Dr Ash Parmar at the Perfect Smile Academy.

Krishna maintains a focus on Aesthetic Dentistry including Tooth-coloured Restoration, Smile Design and Full-mouth Rehabilitation cases. Her knowledge and experience allows her to methodically and consistently produce great results. She is renowned for her very gentle and warm nature.

Outside of dentistry she enjoys reading, travelling, mountaineering, deep-sea diving and is learning to play the guitar.

Dr Chee Chen BDS

Chee graduated from the University of Mangalore, India and qualified in 2005. She is a member of the General Dental Council and British Dental Association. She is an excellent clinician and is known for her calm, gentle approach with her patients. She has had a vast amount of experience, building up a large patient base from scratch. She is committed to continued postgraduate development and has been on many courses, including a Certificate in Restorative Dentistry Course at the Eastman Dental Hospital, and continues to update her knowledge of developments in dentistry.

Besides dentistry, Chee is involves herself in charity work for various organisations. She volunteers from time to time for CRISIS and recently did a Tandem Skydive for 'Help the heroes of Afghanistan' .

She is also a keen cyclist and enjoys travelling.

Dr Naresh Hirani BDS(Lond) MSc (Clin. Perio.)

Special Interest in Periodontics

Naresh graduated from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, London in 2001 and established himself at a reputable private practice in Bedfordshire. Naresh is very passionate about dentistry and strives to learn the very latest concepts via both national and international pathways.  An early interest in periodontology and implantology led him to pursue majority of his postgraduate education and professional development within this field.

Dentistry aside, Naresh's interests outside work include, cooking and travelling, where he has accomplished a few feats including; Trekking across the Andes, Sky diving, swimming with pirhana fish in the Amazon and jumping off a cliff with a kite attached to his back!

Adriana Wiodich

Hygienist

Adriana brings with her a range of experience and a strong committment to help you prevent gum problems and keep your teeth for life.  She works in close partnership with you so that you can look after your teeth for the long-term. Adriana is enthusiastic about her work and she is both gentle and caring. Her manner makes you want to do your part to keep up with the cleaning and maintenance programmes.

She qualified in Hungary in 2005 and she is an active member of both the British and the Hungarian Dental Councils. She is always looking for new methods and materials that make your smile healthy and beautiful. Last year she acquired her tooth whitening certificate to meet our patients' demand for cosmetic smile enhancement and at the moment she is busy with her dental radiography studies.

Carole Squires RGN

Facial Aesthetics

Carole has a wealth of experience in the medical field and has been a Registered nurse for over 25 years, priding herself at being very confident & caring. She has worked for both the NHS and Private hospitals sector. Having a keen interest in Dermatology she decided to expand into Medical Aesthetic Treatments.

She has built a fantastic business offering Anti-ageing and Dermal filler treatments and her private clients are extremely please with the results she offers. Carole was trained in a top Harley Street clinic so has received the best training one can have.

We at Apple Dental Studios are now delighted to have secured Carole to carry out medical aesthetic treatments in our studio.

Muriel Wilks

Muriel is our Patient Co-ordinator and has a vast amount of dental knowledge gained from being in the dental profession for over 20 years. She started off as a dental nurse and moved her way to spending more time talking to patients and managing the front desk. With her experience, she has an empathy with all our patients and in turn gives them confidence. She is here to help discuss treatments and the different options available. She helped set up Apple Dental in May 2008 and has been a valuable member of the team in helping to bring new patients into the practice.

In March 2009, Muriel spent one month in Sri Lanka working in an orphanage with Downs Syndrome children. She organised for one very severely disabled child of 8 to have 10 extractions within a matter of days. In March 2010, Muriel went back to revisit the children at the orphanage and this time has managed to set up a Mobile Dental Unit for the children.

In December 2009, Muriel was recognised by the prestigious Dentistry Awards, winning the Outstanding Achievement  Award which we, at Apple, are very proud of.
